The Original Po-Ke-No Basic game:
Each player, except the dealer is, is given a board and some chips. (if there are no more players than boards, the dealer may also play.) The dealer, with an ordinary deck of 52 playing cards, shuffles them and turns the top card over, calling it out. For example:"Queen of Spades". Each player, who has the Queen of Spades on his or her board, cover it up with a chip. The dealer continues turning over cards in succession, and the players continue covering cards on their boards until someone has covered a complete row of five either horizontilly or vertically. The player calls "OUT". The player who wins becomes the next dealer.

At the climax of an ambitious card routine, the performer offers to repeat the effect 'one last time, under test conditions'. The deck is replaced in the case to prevent any possible manipulation by the performer, and the signed selection is held by the spectator. Read carefully now, this is exactly what happens: the spectator himself pushes his own signed card into the cased deck, anywhere he wants - in the middle, near the bottom, wherever. The deck and card can be fully shown face-up if desired as the spectator pushes his selection flush into the deck. The case is closed and given a little shake. The case is re-opened and completely fairly the top card is removed - it is the signed selection!
The spectator can even remove the card himself if you choose, but with an effect this powerful, we're sure that you'll want to take the credit yourself!
Remember: only one card is pushed into the deck and it really is the signed selection, there is no switch. The spectator genuinely can push his selection into the deck anywhere he chooses. The selection and cased deck can be fully shown on all sides as the selection is pushed flush into the deck. When you re-open the case the selection really is on top! It looks absolutely impossible. From the ingenious mind of Peter Nardi comes a routine that makes the interchange plot cleaner and simpler than any other version previously released.
Four Aces and four kings are shown and the four aces placed into four different pockets about the magicians' person. Each card really is fairly placed into the pocket and nothing is stolen back out.
The four kings are now fanned to display the faces and the backs may also be shown if you wish. Now with no sudden moves, the cards are turned face up again and spread wide to show the four aces!
Now without any false moves, the first card is removed from the first pocket to show it is now a king! Then the second, third and fourth cards are each removed to show that all four kings have changed places with each of the four aces!
The cards are now placed on your spectator's outstretched palm and she is asked to place her other hand on top. Your spectator is now asked to name kings or aces and in this case, we assume she chooses aces. She now lifts her hands apart to discover that the aces have totally vanished and just the four kings remain in her hands!
The magician now reaches back into each pocket, totally empty hands each time and one by one, removes the four aces from the four separate pockets once again!
All cards can be examined and you end totally clean!

A card is selected and signed by your spectator then returned to the deck. You now set the deck on the table, or your spectator's hand and a regular bottle cap is introduced. The cap is slammed onto the deck and instantly vanishes without a trace! You now spread the deck facedown to show that the image of a flattened bottle cap has appeared on the back of just one of the cards.
The spectator is allowed to feel the card to verify that the image is stuck tight. You now turn over the card to show that it is the signed selection! Now for the kicker! You take the single signed selection and hold it over your spectator's cupped hands and pop the card - instantly a real flattened bottle cap falls into the spectator's waiting hands!

Effect - After performing your favorite Ambitious Card routine, you state that it's possible to make the card rise through the rest of the deck even while it's turned face up. This is one effect that you will be performing.
You start by taking out a deck of cards from the box and as you are shuffling them you say that you are going to do something that is really strange, but more importantly, that you will do it very slowly. You have someone select a card, they sign it and it gets lost back into the deck.
The deck is given to your spectator to shuffle, as you state that the card is going to vanish from the deck and appear inside the card box which is shown empty and placed on the table or given to another spectator to hold.
You have the person with the cards hold onto them real tight and before they know it - boom - it's gone! The spectator checks through the deck and the signed card has completely vanished!
You point to the card case the other spectator is holding - it's empty. But…you point out the back of the card case looks the same as the back of a card. Now for the freakiest thing ever, slowly you start peeling the printed back design from the box! It leaves behind a white surface and you turn over the surface that you have torn away - all attention is focused on this strange object that IS the SIGNED selected card!
