A spectator selects a card from a pack which is a free choice. It is placed on top of the pack and slowly floats up an inch or so, another card is waved under the floating card to prove there are no supports, finally the card floats back and it can be tossed out for examination.

You display a leather gypsy envelope and a beautiful old gypsy fortune telling deck. Each card has a fortune printed right on its face. You ask your "client" to utter the name of a special someone to create a relaxed fortune telling atmosphere. Let's say her special name is "Rose."

You then do a short three-card reading for your client. The first card predicts good luck. The second card indicates an impending mystery. Spectator names a card which is removed from the deck and placed aside. The rest of the deck is spread face up and is now found to be a miniature deck, the selected card is the only normal card. Gang of Four Trick by Harry Anderson, outstanding routine with built in comedy.

A signed card placed in the middle of the deck repeatedly jumps to the top. It's very easy to 'see through this trick', because when the spectators examine the deck it's just a clear block of glass.

This is more than an effect. This is a crucial technique used in Shawn's act that has won him multiple awards from SAM, IBM, PCAM and FISM. You get a finely crafted block of plastic that has been laser cut and machined to the size of a deck of cards. Using this unique block (commonly referred to as an Omni Deck, crafted by Palmer Tilden) and Shawn's deck switch technique you will be able to present an incredible ambitious card routine that ends with the deck of cards magically turning into a block of plastic right in the spectators hands!

The performer displays a handkerchief, lays it on a table and folds it over into a square. He catches a ghost called Glorpy, lifts one corner of the square, and tosses him into the handkerchief. For the sceptic who doesn't believe in ghosts, the magician offers to prove that Glorpy really exists. Glorpy now begins to "gerkulate" as the center of the handkerchief rises and falls uncannily. Finally on command from the performer, Glorpy stops "gerkulating", disappears and the handkerchief is shown free of any attachments, folded up and placed in the pocket. The magician shows a deck of 52 different cards. Different movie titles ('Pretty Woman', 'E.T', 'Jaws' etc.) are boldly written black on the red back of each card. A 'movie collectors club' prediction card is placed on the table in full view. The magician says: 'Since I´m a huge movie fan, I wrote the names of my 52 favourite movies of all time on the back of each playing card. I did this for a reason though. If I can´t decide which film to watch, I just pick a card and go with whichever one is on the back.' The magician continues: 'I´m now even able to 'predict' a movie&allow me to show you what I mean.' The magician spreads the deck face-up and a spectator is asked to pick ANY card they see at random (NO force). The spectator´s freely chosen card is placed face-up next to the tabled prediction. Magician: 'If the movie represented by your freely chosen card matches the movie which is on my prediction card, wouldn´t that be impressive?'

The prediction is turned face-up by the spectator, to reveal the movie 'Casablanca'. Next, the spectator´s card is turned face-down only to reveal that 'Jurassic Park' is printed there. It seems the magician screwed up, as the prediction and the spectator´s chosen card don´t match. However, the magician waves the whole deck of card over the spectator´s card, and when the deck is turned face-down and spread out the whole deck of cards is changed into a 'JURASSIC DECK' of cards, matching the spectator´s freely chosen movie card!! A great and unusual mystery. An easy trick to do. You show two packets of cards: Six red cards and six black. You place the packet of red cards on a stand, backs to the audience and do the same with the packet of black cards on another stand. You turn over a 'leader' card in the front of each packet (a red card in front of the red packet and a black card in front of the black packet.) The packets are switched back and forth several times and the cards follow the 'leaders.' At the end all the cards are back in two packets: Red and black.

The magician casually spreads a deck of cards face-up, showing that they are well shuffled. He then squares them up and turns the deck face-down. After pointing out the fact that each card in the deck has been numbered, in order, from 1 to 52 he announces that he will think of a card and states what it is, for example the Two of Hearts. A deck of cards is well mixed and shown to have no duplicates. It is then divided into two halves. One half is given to one gentleman and the centre of a long ribbon is wrapped round it. The ends are given to two ladies to form a triangle. From the second half they each mentally select a card. From a blue-backed deck, the performer removes three face down cards from three different places. The spectator them chooses a forth card. Each of the three initial cards are then shown to match the chosen card exactly ! The performer points out that the only way the trick would be possible is if the four cards came from different decks. Accordingly the backs of three of the cards change colour one by one to BLACK, YELLOW & WHITE, Leaving four cards with four different coloured backs. A card is then selected from the pack (let's say the six of clubs), but when the magician's prediction is turned over, it is found to be the ace of spades! A funny slightly risqué revelation of a chosen card.The performer has a spectator select and replace a card in the deck. After the card has been replaced, the performer displays a picture of a risqué flasher inside a leather window wallet. The picture is now removed from the wallet and held so that the spectator can see that there is a message written on the back. It reads as follows:

Let your mind go blank...Concentrate hard...As quick as a flash...I'll reveal your card...

After reading it out loud, the performer places the picture card back into the wallet before finally turning it over to show that the flasher has opened his raincoat to reveal the chosen card. It always gets a big laugh and looks magical as well!

The performer explains that he has a new computer program that allows him to win every time in poker without even using a computer. The performer then shows a CD that has ten face cards printed on one side, and card backs on the other. The performer hands a spectator five paper clips and the CD explaining that the spectator will pick out the performer's hand by clipping any five facedown cards and the remaining cards will be the spectator's hand. The performer then asks the spectator to turn the CD face up showing the five clipped cards to be the winning hand!!

The most interesting part: the backs are marked! This sounds silly for a rainbow deck, but everybody who knows Joshua will think twice. Pure genius!

A spectator chooses a card from a deck of cards and signs his/her name across the face of the selected card. The card is replaced back into the deck and shuffled. Then the performer picks a card, which is revealed to be an indifferent card. He places it into a transparent plastic card holder. The spectators can see the face of the card inside the holder. As the magician makes a magical gesture, the indifferent card morphs into the signed selection. The card is removed from the holder and handed out for examination.
